E-Banking Guyerzeller

Guyerzeller E-Banking

With Priv@line, this exclusive private Swiss bank offered its customers a tailored e-banking service to meet their most demanding requirements. Personal advice, which is at the core of a traditional relationship between a private banker and his client, was ideally complemented by Priv@line. For example, Priv@line made it possible for the customer relationship manager to manage a portfolio together with his client. The client, for his part, had fully secure access to his portfolio anywhere in the world and at any time with Priv@line. External asset managers, in particular, valued the numerous reports, which they could generate for the assets under their management directly in Priv@line.

An analysis of the asset structure and portfolio performance was supported in Priv@line through a wide range of charts. Besides various summaries, Priv@line offered in-depth and detailed information about all asset valuations. Up to ten years of past tracking data was available on the development of positions along with all transactions. Direct links to market data and corporate information in turn made it possible to stay up to date with current trends virtually in real time.

Asset Information

On the basis of periodic valuations, Priv@line provided meaningful information about the status and development of assets. A consolidated asset report allowed for a quick overview of the client's total assets. Different views of the asset structure could be called up by asset type and currency by individual portfolios. Further, evaluations provided information about the currency distribution of fixed-interest rate investments and the breakdown of bonds by maturity date and currency. Portfolio performance was stated in detail for each period and could always be compared directly with performance in previous periods. The most important performance numbers could also be viewed in an easily understood summary on an annual basis. Historical data about all account and securities balances as well as related transactions for the last ten years could be called up at any time.

Market Data

Priv@line provided integrated access to current stock market data via instrument search, the market browser and the current portfolio positions. Besides market details, intraday and historic charts and related news could also be called up about individual instruments. Freely definable analysis charts, personal instrument lists, and a stock ticker completed the Priv@line functions.

Technology

Priv@line was completely programmed in Java. The client desktop application offered an appealing and intuitively operated user interface. The Priv@line server provided business services and integrated various relational databases along with market data and verification servers in compliance with J2EE standards.

Guyerzeller Bank was entirely integrated into HSBC Private Bank in April 2009.
